Poster Production: Main Image

In the beginning of my poster production I wanted my text to apply to the codes and convetions of several stereotypical horror posters. The majority of Horror movie posters will focus on one central image as their drawing point. I used this convention in my media text. The photo I used is show below:

After this I darkened the image slightly so it could blend into the black background, therefore the focus of the image is the white sky that appears behind the trees towwards the end of the tunnel. I chose this image from all of my previous ones, because of its meaning to the audience. The idea of a tunnel is almost representitive of the journey that the characters will have to go through to escape, Almost like a light at the end of a tunnel. I liked this idea, as in a predominantly black poster, is a bit of white, almost showing human presence. Which in itself is the focus of our film: the hunting of lost people. The slightly more darkened version is shown below.
